Michael serves as Chief Intellectual Property Officer of Figgers Communication. Michael is an attorney with 26 years of experience in patent prosecution, patent litigation, inter partes review (IPR), IP due diligence, trademark prosecution and corporate legal matters. Michael’s experience includes drafting corporate finance agreements, securities purchase agreements, warrant purchase agreements, convertible notes, and private placement memorandum. Michael served as General Counsel of Phazr, Inc., a wireless 5G technology company, from 2016-2019. His work background includes in-house and law firm experience counseling clients in a broad range of legal, business and strategic issues. He is experienced in a wide range of technology areas including analog and digital circuits, power electronics and controls, wireless telecommunications, 5G technology, semiconductors, computer software, medical devices, and business methods.

Michael is admitted to the state bars of Texas and North Carolina and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Michael received BSEE (1988) and MSEE (1991) degrees in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor (1996) degree from the University of North Carolina School of law.
